Buying a home is a huge investment, everyone knows that but, the steps leading up to are just as important. When you are just starting off you are going to be excited and want to look at as many houses as you can in one day.
Here is my advice. DON'T! Pick at most 4 homes in one day to view. There is only so much information you can process and take in. If you view too many, you will forget the first home you looked at by the end of the day.
This is a process and you have to train yourself to be patient. In order to save yourself time, drive by the home first, check out the neighborhood, talk with neighbors. You can save a lot of time and headaches if you check out the neighborhood before looking at the home.
Also, make sure you take notes and try everything. Open doors, open and close windows, try thr toilet, turn on faucets. You will be suprised at what may turn you on or off about a home.
